Yukon Imagery: High Resolution

Geomatics Yukon has created indices of high resolution imagery currently licensed to the Government of Yukon. Imagery and indices are available below as ESRI shapefiles in the Yukon Albers Equal Area projection and contain attribute information for each image including: date, resolution, ortho-rectification status, etc. 1 metre resolution imagery of Whitehorse can also be downloaded below in ECW file format.

Whitehorse Imagery download:

  • Orthophoto - City of Whitehorse - orthorectified traditional aerial imagery provided at 1m resolution. Higher resolution (0.25m) versions of this data is availiable upon request.

Indices for High Resolution Imagery:

  • GeoEye - multispectral satellite imagery at 0.5m resolution.
  • Ikonos - multispectral satellite imagery at 1m resolution.
  • Quickbird - multispecural satellite imagery at a resolution of 0.6m. 
  • Orthophoto - City of Whitehorse - foot print only.
  • Orthophotos - Government of Yukon - orthorectified traditional aerial imagery provided at resolutions ranging from 0.3m to 1m.
  • Orthophotos - NRCan  - orthorectified traditional aerial imagery provided through Natural Resources Canada at resolutions ranging from 0.5m to 2.5m.
